Types of Content Controls

The following content controls are available in Word templates.

Each control type has its own page with usage guidance and characteristics.

Available content control types

Limits user input to plain text only and removes rich formatting.

Allows users to enter formatted text, such as bold, italic, or other styled content.

Presents a list of predefined options from which the user must select.

What is a Repeating Section?

Displays a placeholder for an image and allows users to insert a single picture into the document.

Provides a checkable box that is useful for yes/no values, confirmations, or selection options.
