Types of Content Controls
The following content controls are available in Word templates.
Each control type has its own page with usage guidance and characteristics.
Available content control types
📄️ Plain Text
Limits user input to plain text only and removes rich formatting.
📄️ Rich Text
Allows users to enter formatted text, such as bold, italic, or other styled content.
📄️ Dropdown
Presents a list of predefined options from which the user must select.
📄️ Date Picker
Provides a clickable calendar interface that allows users to select a date.

Allows users to select pre-designed content such as cover pages, headers, footers, or watermarks.

Groups multiple content controls and other Word elements into a single protected block.
